Bishnym Products:- Bishnym Products, Victoria House, Bishops Nympton, South Molton, North Devon, EX36 4PG. Tel: 0845 806 5206 or 01769 550631. Fax: 01769 550935. E-mail: enquiries@bishnym.co.uk. Bishnym Products is a small, third generation, family business that can trace its origins over a hundred years ago. Our Grandfather, Albert Ernest Brambley, first started working in the leather industry when he left school in 1898; he began as apprentice shoemaker to William Tamplin of Caterham, Surrey. In 1915 he started out in business on his own by taking over the lease of a shop at 68 Upper Tooting Road S.W. London, which had been run as a saddlery business, for many years, by Saddler and Harness Maker John Cully; in 1922 he purchased the freehold of the property.

Beginning primarily as a Shoe and Boot Repairer, Leather and Grindery Merchant he soon added to this the retailing of a vast range of products, which included: clocks, watches, dartboards & darts, cut throat razors, safety razors, corn plasters, various kinds of patent medicines, celluloid collars, brush and comb sets, military "swagger" sticks and horse whips. Along with these unusual items were all kinds of leather goods, such as hand bags, suitcases, music bags, purses, wallets and so forth. With the skills learned in the shoe manufacturing trade, he began also to manufacture bespoke leather goods.

Bishnym Products have an extensive variety of product lines and specialise in the manufacture of fine quality leather goods for the field sports fraternity, using traditional handicraft and machining methods.

Le Prevo Leathers:- 1 Charlotte Square, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4XF, UK. Tel: +44 (0) 0191 232 4179. Fax: +44 (0) 0191 261 7648. E-mail: sales@leprevo.co.uk. Le Prevo Leathers started trading in 1972. At that time the business made leathergoods in the craft style that was the fashion of the period. In the early 1980's, they started to sell the tools and materials that they used themselves, to other leatherworkers, mainly in the North East. When it became apparent that there was a nationwide demand for this service, a Mail Order catalogue was created. In 2002, a web site was added to their activities which has allowed them to offer worldwide distribution. In April 2005, the business was incorporated and is now correctly known as Le Prevo Ltd trading as Le Prevo Leathers. Having started as leatherworkers themselves and still running a small workshop, they are unique in their ability to understand the needs of other leatherworkers. Website: http://www.leprevo.co.uk/
